Your New Neighborhood

Founded in 1910 as “Zelzah Station,” this Southern California community officially became Northridge in 1938. Today, it’s a bustling Los Angeles suburb in the San Fernando Valley, filled with opportunities and places to explore! Whether you’re brand new to the Valley or simply relocating for your next life adventure, chances are good you’ll find new things to love all around your new apartment in Northridge.

First of all, there’s the academic side of the neighborhood. With both community colleges and California State University Northridge (CSUN), this section of the San Fernando Valley is a great place to be a student. Then there’s also recreation, shopping, and dining to explore in all directions. The Northridge Fashion Center Mall offers up-to-date movie theaters, a wide variety of stores and shops, and multiple delicious restaurants. Nearby, the Northridge Recreation Center provides you with an indoor gym, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, tennis courts, a heated seasonal swimming pool and a soccer field. If you’re hoping to join a community team or sports league, you can absolutely do that—or just grab a few friends for the afternoon!

Beyond the Northridge community, there are plenty more adventures to be had in the San Fernando Valley. Artistic opportunities, musical events, sidewalk cafes…whatever your interests or budget may be, it’s all here waiting for you.

Beyond the Neighborhood

While there’s much to see and do within just minutes of your own front door, sometimes you need to travel a step farther. If your daily commute takes you into Los Angeles, the 101 (Ventura Freeway) and 118 (Ronald Reagan Freeway) are both easily accessible from the Northridge Apartment community. Three more freeways also intersect in the San Fernando Valley, making it an ideal place to live and work!
